Recruitment Day & MSU Service Saturday

It is another productive week for the Youth Leadership Programs in Livingston and Bozeman!  Today in Livingston, we will be promoting the youth program by painting the town with posters and brochures.  Meet at the public library, and we will go from 4-5:30pm as usual.  This Saturday in Bozeman, we will be helping out MSU’s Community Involvement team with their monthly Service Saturday.  We will be meeting at the Gallatin Valley Food Bank at 10am to help put together packets for the annual Huffing for Stuffing Thanksgiving race.  You can pick up your teen at 1:30 pm at the food bank. Lunch will be provided.  NOTE: On Saturday, you MUST MUST bring a signed waiver.  Click here for the waiver.

Week 4: BINGO at Evergreen & MSU Science Saturday

This week is another fun week at Hopa! On Wednesday in Livingston, we have been invited to help with Bingo at Evergreen Healthcare.  Drop off and pick up (4pm-5:30pm) at the Livingston Public Library.  On Saturday in Bozeman, we are participating in another MSU Science Saturday.  Drop off at the SUB on campus, and pick up will be at Columbo’s after lunch (10am-1:30pm).

Week 2- Art Tour & Climbing Day

For the week of October 12th, we have exciting things planned for both of our groups!  Today, Wednesday the 14th, the Park County group will be taking an art studio and gallery tour with Brad Bunkers, a local Livingston artist.  We will be meeting at our regular time (4pm -5:30) at the Livingston Public Library’s Teen Room. 

On Saturday, October 17, both Park and Gallatin County groups are invited to Spire Climbing Center for climbing lessons.  We will be meeting at Spire (click here for directions) at 10am, and climbing until 1:30pm.  Lunch will be provided.  TEENS MUST COME WITH A SIGNED RELEASE FORM IN ORDER TO CLIMB. YLP Kicks Off the Year!

Both the Gallatin and Park County Youth Leadership Programs are finally starting up!  Park County’s first meeting will be October 7th, from 4pm -5:30 at the Public Library.  Gallatin County’s will be October 10th, from 10am-1pm, and we will be meeting at the Student Union Building on MSU’s campus.  We would love to see as many youth as possible, so bring your friends!

Bozeman Youth Festival!

The Bozeman Youth Initiative’s annual Bozeman Youth Festival is this Sunday, September 13, on the Emerson Lawn.  It will last from 11am to 6pm, with activities such as improv workshops, teen yoga, bike maintenance workshops, live music and more!  Hopa Mountain will be there with  information and registration opportunities.  Hope to see you there!

Gallatin County Summer Camp Orientation Date Changed

The date of the Gallatin County summer camp orientation has been moved from Thursday July 2nd to Wednesday July 1st.  This is also the last day to turn in camp forms.

Teens Collect Books for Livingston Children

Starting Monday April 20th, area teens from L.E.A.P. (Leaders Empower All People) will be collecting new and gently used children books.  Donations boxes will be located at Albertson’s, Town & Country, Gateway Mall, and the Washington School for two weeks (April 20 – May 1).  Books collected will be distributed to children in Livingston and other Montana communities through partnering organizations.
